As fellow pet companions, we understand how challenging it can be to find reliable care for your furry friends. As working professionals, we've experienced those hectic work days, racing home between meetings to walk, feed, and quickly snuggle our pups – or scrambling to find someone else to step in. Let’s face it, professional schedules don’t always exactly align with typical 9-to-5 doggy daycare hours.

While running a muddy 15k, the idea for West End Tails was born. We realized we could not only solve our own dog-care dilemmas but also provide a service tailored to the unique needs of the London pet community. A doggy daycare designed specifically for those who need a bit more care – with flexible hours, a convenient location, and pricing that works for Londoners. So, we’re making it happen. And adding in a spa where your pooch can be pampered and retail where you can buy your favourite products (and try some new ones, too).

We’re beyond excited to bring West End Tails to life – it’s a dream come true for us, and we’re confident it will be a game-changer for you and your dog, too.

  • Jack

    FOUNDER, DIRECTOR

    Born in the North-East, Jack was once on the path to be the next great architect. However he made a bold u-turn and has never regretted it. He’s been in the theatre industry for a decade now and is also a top-notch Spin Instructor, too. When he’s not lighting up the stage or riding a bike that doesn’t go anywhere, he’s found at home with an easel by his side, letting his paintbrush run wild or in the local park, fishing Isla out of the pond.

    CO-FOUNDER, MANAGING DIRECTOR

    Originally from Chicago, Susan went to NYU and then worked in Retail/Tech in New York and Seattle before moving to London. When she met Jack, she was thrilled by the idea for West End Tails and made a quick exit from the corporate world. When not working, Susan is usually lost somewhere in London having taken a wrong turn searching for ice cream or trying to learn more about web design, SEO, and canine care.

    CHIEF SNACK OFFICER

    Meet Isla, a bundle of love and energy that is a mix of a Working Cocker and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, officially known as a Cockalier. She’s on a mission to taste every food under the sun with her sneaky paws and has a real talent for squirrel chasing. Don’t be surprised if you see her splashing in a pond nearby, it’s one of her favourite hobbies.

    HEAD OF CONTENT

    With a background in English, writing, and drama, Jennie initially pursued a career in publishing before realising that just one career wasn't enough - she wanted to perform too! Fast forward fifteen years, and she's now a freelance editor, sub-editor, and proofreader who also treads the boards (recently covered all the Dynamos in Mamma Mia on the West End and soon to appear in Stiletto at the Charing Cross Theatre!). You'll find her squirrelling away in front of her laptop correcting everyone's spelling and grammar, with West End Tails regular Ralph snuggled up by her side.

81 Chancery Lane has truly been a labor of love, transforming from former gym into an exceptional, state-of-the-art canine community. Every element of our space has been carefully designed to cater to the needs of dogs and their owners, ensuring that both experience the highest level of comfort, convenience, and connection.

What began as an empty box has now evolved into a multi-functional facility that offers a complete range of services and experiences for dogs. Here's a closer look at the unique features of our space:

MULTIPLE PLAY AREAS

We have dedicated, spacious play areas designed to suit dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments. From high-energy dogs who love to run and jump to more laid-back pups who prefer relaxed playtime, we have carefully crafted environments that ensure every dog has an enriching experience. Each play area is equipped with soft flooring, safety features, and interactive equipment that encourage physical exercise and mental stimulation.

RELAXATION ZONE

We understand that dogs need quiet, calm spaces to unwind and recharge. Our relaxation zone is a serene, soothing area where dogs can rest, stretch out, and enjoy some peaceful downtime away from the excitement of play. This area is designed to provide comfort and tranquility, allowing dogs to relax and rejuvenate in a safe, stress-free environment.

INDOOR POTTY AREA MIMICKING A PARK

No need to worry about bad weather or limited outdoor space—we’ve created an indoor potty area that replicates the experience of a park, with natural-looking grass, shrubs, and a soft, comfortable surface for dogs to do their business. This innovative space ensures that dogs have a clean and pleasant environment to relieve themselves indoors, so they can continue their day without disruption, regardless of the weather outside.

LUXURIOUS DOG SPA

At West End Tails, we believe in pampering every dog. Our luxurious dog spa is a tranquil retreat where dogs can indulge in a range of high-end grooming services. From calming baths to gentle massages, nail trims, and expert grooming tailored to each dog’s breed and coat, we provide a spa experience that enhances both appearance and well-being. Every treatment is designed to leave dogs feeling fresh, relaxed, and rejuvenated.

TAILS STUDIO

Tails Studio is the heart of our community space, designed to host a variety of events, workshops, and activities that bring dogs and their owners together. Whether you’re looking to unwind with a yoga session with your dog, attend a dog training workshop, or participate in one of our community events, Tails Studio offers a flexible, welcoming environment. Our dog-friendly yoga classes are a particular highlight, offering owners the chance to bond with their dogs in a calming, mindful setting before going about the rest of their day. In addition to yoga, we will also host other community-building events like adoption drives, breed-specific meetups, dog-friendly celebrations, and educational talks about dog care and well-being.
